Van Ert is hiring a VDC Technician to support large-scale construction projects by creating and managing accurate 3D and 2D electrical system models.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and coordinate electrical system models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with project teams using BIM/VDC workflows.
  • Resolve clashes, convert files, and generate coordination reports.
  • Learn and apply new modeling software tools as needed.
  • Support accurate, efficient project planning and execution.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed electrical layouts using CAD/design software.
  • Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, and VDC/Field teams on timelines and budgets.
  • Interpret blueprints, update designs to code, and assist field crews.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting and Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Van Ert is looking for a detail oriented individual to support electrical design and documentation, helping produce accurate drawings and data that support project execution and safety compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and one line drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Work with engineers and project teams to gather information, support design reviews, and maintain accurate, up to date documentation.
  • Assist with arc flash and power system studies by collecting field data, supporting system modeling, and helping prepare reports and labels.
  • Track design deliverables, coordinate with project managers and field personnel, and support overall quality of electrical design packages.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in an electrical or drafting related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of electrical drafting or design experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; EPLAN experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Van Ert has an opening for a Security Technician headquartered at our Kaukauna, WI office, with work performed at locations throughout Wisconsin. This position will be filled as a union role. We’re a family owned company seeking a skilled technician to install, program, and service integrated electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV/IP cameras, and IP based security devices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and service access control, CCTV/IP cameras, NVRs, intercoms, and related security systems.
  • Run and terminate low voltage cabling, read technical drawings, and complete system programming/commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot system, network, and installation issues; repair components and verify proper operation.
  • Provide customer training, maintain professional communication, and assist/lead technicians while completing required documentation.

Requirements:

  • HS diploma/GED and experience: 3+ years with IP cameras, 3+ years with access control, and 2+ years with IP addressable devices.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, basic networking, and proficiency with computers and configuration tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • AXIS, Verkada, or Brivo certifications preferred.
